Chinese Gender Prediction Chart
The Chinese Gender Prediction Chart, also called the Chinese Birth Chart or Chinese Pregnancy Calendar, is an ancient tradition believed to be over 700 years old. It claims to predict baby gender based on the mother's age at conception and the conception month.
How It Works
The chart uses the mother's lunar age at conception (current age + 1 in traditional Chinese age counting) and the lunar month of conception. The intersection on the chart predicts boy or girl. This calculator uses a simplified Western adaptation.
Scientific Accuracy
IMPORTANT: This is for entertainment only. Scientific studies show the Chinese Gender Chart has no better than 50/50 accuracy - the same as random chance. Gender is determined by chromosomes (XX for girl, XY for boy) from the father's sperm at conception. Only ultrasound (after 18-20 weeks) or genetic testing (NIPT, amniocentesis) can accurately determine gender.
Quick Tips
- BMI alone doesn't reflect overall health
- TDEE varies based on activity level
- Consult a healthcare professional for medical decisions
